Reasons You Need an Email List

Building an Email List

Let’s talk about email list building, or more specifically, why you need to build an email list in the first place.

It doesn’t matter what form your online presence takes – be it blogging, creating video content, running an online store, or growing a presence – any online business can benefit from having a list and focusing on increasing your subscriber base.

The Importance of Building an Email List

What makes it so unique? It gives you a chance to talk directly to your audience. You don’t have to wait for them to come to your Blog or login into Instagram to see your content, message, and offers.

Building Your Email List

Most importantly, though, email marketing converts better than any other form of marketing, and it’s the main reason why all your other marketing efforts should focus on growing and expanding your list.

In other words, the menu allows you to make a living from your online business. And it’s also a safety net. Let me explain.

Things happen. Facebook decides to close your account, your website may get hacked, and much of the content is lost; search engines may one day decide they no longer love you and stop sending you free traffic.

Murphy’s Law holds right, even on the web…. Anything that can go wrong will eventually go wrong. But if you’ve focused on building a list, you always have a way to recover.

Plus, you have a chance to get to know your readers better. You can build a relationship with them through the daily or weekly emails you send them (as well as their replies). You start to build trust with your audience.

Why Lists are Important

Email List: Why is that important? Because once you have earned that trust, they will gladly take you up on the offers you sent them via email.

And provided you treat your email list well and share great stuff, it’s sustainable.

You can make suggestions for things they want and need repeatedly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need an email list?

Having an email list is essential for many reasons, but it is not necessary to have one right away.

You will eventually want to have an email list because it will play a massive role in helping to make your business more successful.

You can decide when it is the right time to start your own email list for your business, but remember to start one at some point because it will be a valuable asset and business-building tool for you.

How do I make an email list for free?

Making an email list for free can be done quickly, but you won’t be able to keep it free once you reach a certain number of subscribers. Two options can be used for starting a free email list, which is MailerLite and MailChimp.

Both of these options will allow you to start a free list of up to 1,000 subscribers, and then you will have to pay a monthly fee to keep and grow your list.

Each of these options will give you all the tools needed to grow your list to 1,000 subscribers, but as your list grows, the tools you will need will also grow.

So, find the option that will initially give you what you need but will also provide you with what you need as your list grows.

How valuable is an email list?

Your email list will become your most valuable business asset because it will help you build your business in many ways.

First, it helps you have a list of potential clients to email with new offers when needed.

Second, your list will help get to know your readers and build a relationship with them.

This is important because this builds trust, and when your potential clients trust you, they will stay with you on your list for a long time.

Third, your list will be one of the most significant and effective ways to make money with your business.

When people join your list, you are given permission to contact them with future email offers, giving you an audience for each offer you send.

How do you make an email list?

Building an email list is easy to do. There are just a few steps required to get your first email list up and running in a short amount of time.

1. Choose an autoresponder – Find an email list provider that provides you with all the tools you need to start your list, but also provides the tools needed as your list grows.

A few good options are GetResponse and Aweber.

2. Set your list up – After you have chosen the autoresponder you want to use to grow your list, you now need to give your list a name and set it up as you want it to be.

3. Create your first email – Once you have your list started, it is time to create your first email.

This will be your welcome email that will go out to everyone that joins your list. Put some thought into it, and take time to write the email exactly as you want it to be, but don’t over-stress on it being perfect.

4. Create future emails – After you have the first email set up and ready to send when people sign up for your list, you need to create a few more emails, so you have multiple emails ready to go out to your list over time.

This will help you get your list going while you work on other tasks you need to do for your business.

So, there you have it; “Reasons you need an Email list” to help you profit.

There are a few good tips and tidbits, from having the right tools to having the right mindset for running your marketing endeavors.

These tips will have your marketing efforts paying off, and you will probably be wondering why you did not take this on sooner.

3 Ways to Get Subscribers from Your Blog

Different Ways – Get Subscribers from your Blog

Get Subscribers from your Blog: Are you using your blog to build your list? If not, it’s something you want to move to the top of your list of priorities.

It’s one of the most effective and most profitable things you can do for your online business.

Online Business – Get Subscribers from your Blog

There’s a reason you keep hearing “the money is on the list.” Here are three different things you can do to get subscribers from your blog.

Opt-in Form in Your Sidebar

The first thing most of us will do is add an opt-in form to our blog that will show on every single page. For most of us, that means posting a kind in the sidebar.

While this may not be the most efficient way to get subscribers from your blog, it’s a great place to start.

Get it up there. It’s something you only must do once, and it will work. If you’re ready to build your list faster, consider different testing locations, different headlines, different images, and various opt-in offers until you find one that converts well for you.

Pop Up Forms – Get Subscribers from Your Blog

Love them, or hate them, they work, and they work well. If you’re worried about annoying your loyal blog readers, set it up to only show up once every few weeks.

As with any other opt-in form, it helps to switch things up and see if you can get a better conversion rate with different copy or offers.

No matter how you feel about pop up opt-in forms, give them a try. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how well they work and how fast your lists start to grow once you start using them.

Get Subscribers from your Blog

Customized Opt-in Forms at The End of Your Blog Posts

Finally, let’s talk about a slightly more advanced technique. This strategy for growing your list involves a bit of work, and it’s not something you want to do every time, but it can be incredibly useful.

Get Subscribers from Your Blog: The idea is to have a blog post and then a related opt-in offers at the end. Let’s say you’re blogging about parenting and just wrote a blog post about different ways to motivate your child to use the potty.

One of them is the use of a potty chart.

At the end of the post you have an option offer where readers can sign up for more parenting tips from you, and as thanks for signing up, they get a printable potty training chart.

Get Subscribers from Your Blog

Get Subscribers from Your Blog – Online Blogging

In other words, either the copy of the opt-in form or the opt-in freebie is catered specifically to the content of the blog post. Yes, this is a little more work and not something you will want to do for every single post.

Get Subscribers from Your Blog: Instead, reserve this for your highest traffic posts.

Grow Email List Faster With An Ethical Bribe

Grow Email List Faster: The money is in the list, and that means the faster you can grow your list, the quicker you’ll increase your income.

But also, your reach, your audience, and of course, the traffic to your blog for example.

In other words, growing a list is essential and building it faster will help you get your blog and your business off the ground more quickly as well.

How to Grow your Email List Faster

One of the best things you can do to grow email list faster is to offer them an “ethical bribe.” I’m sure you’ve seen these.

They are often short reports, printable, spreadsheets or videos that website owners and bloggers offer for free when you sign up. You see them all the time and for a good reason. They work like a charm.

And they are very easy to use. You need to decide what you want to give your readers in exchange for their email, put that in your opt-in page and mention it in your opt-in form on your site, and finally deliver it to your subscribers. Let’s look at each of these three steps in a bit more detail.

ethical bribe

Create Your Ethical Bribe

Grow Email List Faster: Start by thinking about what your potential subscribers might want. Your most popular blog posts may give you some great ideas, as will email questions you frequently receive.

Pick a topic and then decide how you want to deliver the freebie.

Short reports are accessible as are printable pdf, but videos and audios are other options. If you have an online store, you could even offer an exclusive signup coupon.

Grow Email List Faster: Decide on your ethical bribe and then create it. Write it, turn it into a pdf, record a video and upload it. Do whatever you need to do to create your opt-in freebie and have it ready to go.

Advertise It on Your Opt-in Form and Page

Next, write some enticing copy that will get your visitors attention. You should tweak all your opt-in forms on your website along with any dedicated opt-in pages you have to reflect this new freebie.

Look at what your competition is doing and how they are presenting their freebie.

Come up with a good headline and a right call to action. Visuals also help. If you are offering a free report or a printable for example, get a graphic for it that you can add to your newsletter signup boxes for instance. Entice your readers to sign up for the freebie.

Grow Email List Faster – Upload and Deliver Your Bribe

Grow Email List Faster: Finally; it’s time to deliver the freebie. Upload it to your web server and then write or edit the welcome email that goes out to any new subscriber to include a link to the ethical bribe – whatever you decided to make it.

Auto-Responder Providers Compared

Different Auto-Responder Providers

Auto-Responder Providers: If you have an online business or blog, you need an email list.

And for that, you need an auto-responder provider.

It is a company that stores your reader’s email address and other pertinent information and allows you to send emails to your list.

These can be a weekly newsletter, frequent update emails, solo offers, or a series of auto-responder messages.

A Comparison of Three Email Marketing Providers

Let’s look at a couple of different auto-responder providers and compare them. I hope this information will help you make an educated decision when it comes time to sign up.

All option we’re discussing here is subscription services – meaning you’ll pay them a monthly fee for their service, similar to your hosting costs.

There is a second option – a self-hosted autoresponder, which I do not recommend you; try There are all sorts of technical and legal hot waters you can get yourself into by hosting your autoresponder service.

Leave that to the guys that know what they are doing and sign up for a reputable Autoresponder provider. Here are a short list and comparison of a few of my favorites.

Aweber

Aweber has been in the business of list building and providing auto-responder providers for ages. They have an excellent reputation and work hard to ensure their emails are delivered to your reader’s inboxes.

Over the years, they’ve expanded and added many features for list segmentation, testing and tracking, and list-building templates. They offer a free trial if you want to check them out.

One of the significant disadvantages of Aweber is that they charge you for duplicates (same people subscribed to multiple lists of yours) and unsubscribes unless you go in and manually delete them. Since pricing depends on your list size, this can quickly add up.

MailChimp

MailChimp has long been the auto-responder darling of bloggers. It’s easy to use, has a lot of functionality, and has some beautiful templates to make your newsletters and emails look as pretty as your blog.

Like Aweber, charged for duplicate entries, and unlike Aweber, it is hard to segment your list and track to see what’s working. If all you’re worried about is one central list for your blog, MailChimp is an excellent option for you.

Auto-Responder Providers: If you want a little more functionality and data, and you want to be able to set up multiple opt-in forms, then this may not be the right choice for you.

Convert Kit

ConvertKit is the new kid on the block that seems to give us the best of both worlds.

It’s easy to use and has beautiful options like MailChimp, but with all the bells and whistles of Aweber.

Since it’s developed by a professional blogger who was sure to include everything he’d want in an auto-responder service, this might work even better for you.

Auto-Responder Providers Tools

Auto-Responder Providers: The only downside is that the company is relatively new and small. Let’s hope they make it and stick around for decades to come.

Different Ways to Send Email

Set Up Different Ways To Send Email

There are three different ways to send emails to your subscribers regarding email marketing.

They are autoresponder messages, broadcast emails, and blog broadcast messages.

Most popular autoresponder services allow you to set up and use all three with your lists.

Let’s look at these email types and when and how you may want to use them.

Create Different Ways To Send Emails

Autoresponder Emails

Let’s start with autoresponder emails. These emails will go out to your readers in the order they signed up.

It’s a little hard to grasp initially, but emailing your list’s a very efficient way.

Broadcast Emails

However, different Ways to Send Emails: Broadcast emails are more like those you send through your account.

You send them today, and whoever is on your list will get the email.

Someone signing up tomorrow or next week never sees this email. It works very much like your Gmail account.

The big difference is that you email hundreds or thousands of people simultaneously.

This type of email is high if you send out a weekly or monthly newsletter and any time-sensitive content or offer.

The Last Option is a Blog.

It’s a neat feature and an easy way to automate some of your email marketing if you’re a blogger.

The autoresponder service generates and sends out an email to your Blog.

You can set it up to send an email each time you publish a new blog post or create an email occasionally (once a week, for example).

Three Different Ways Send Emails

Different Ways to Send Emails: Ideally, you want to use all three types of emails.

Mix and match them to get your email messages out in the most ineffective way.

Having options gives you leverage, allowing you to make the most of every email message you write.

How do you send a Broadcast Email in Gmail?

Sending a broadcast email in Gmail is easy and only requires simple steps.

Go to your Gmail account at gmail.com and sign in to the account you want to send the email from.
Create a new email by clicking the compose button.

Click on the “Add BCC” under the box that says “To.”

This is where you will enter everyone you are trying to email email addresses.

Email List Building With eBooks And Kindle Books

Email List Building through eBooks and Kindle Books

Email List Building through eBooks and Kindle Books. Let’s talk about a fun and creative way to grow your list that’s underused. Do you sell or give away eBooks?

They can be PDF documents or any other format you use.

How about Kindle books? Have you thought about writing and selling eBooks on Amazon?

Using eBooks and Kindle Books to Build your Email List

Email List Building: It doesn’t matter how or where you sell your electronic books, they are a perfect medium for growing your list.

This strategy works particularly well if you’re selling at least some of your books to audiences outside of your circle of influence.

With Amazon Kindle that happens as others discover your books and Amazon cranks up its marketing machine and recommends your book to readers with interest in similar books.

Email List Building: But it also happens when affiliates promote your other eBooks, or readers find them in popular marketplaces like Clickbank and JVZoo or via social media and search engines.

How to take Advantage of eBooks and Kindle Books

Take advantage of any instance where your eBook (be it paid or free) reaches further than your blog or website.

Here’s how you do it. Think of the topic of your book. Is there something else your readers would be interested?

Even better, try to come up with complementary content that would make an excellent printable.

For example, if you have a Kindle cookbook, offer printable versions of the recipes. If you have written a how-to book, create a printable checklist or workbook that readers can use as they work through the book.

Email List Building: The idea is to entice most of your readers to click through, sign up for your list and download the printable.

For that to happen, be sure to mention the offer for the extra content several times throughout your book.

Email List Building through eBooks and Kindle Books: For fiction books, you can go a few different routes depending on your genre and your writing.

Do you have a short story or novella written that gives further insight into one of your main characters?

Maybe it’s a prequel. It might be a little side-story that didn’t make it into the main book. Offer that as a free download for subscribers.

If your fiction world involves a vast, sprawling family, make a pretty family tree graphic and offer it as a printable download.

If you’ve created a whole new world or a new vocabulary, create a printable map. You could even create a small dictionary of terms for your readers to get them on your list.

Email List Building through eBooks and Kindle Books

Email List Building through eBooks and Kindle Books. Get creative and come up with something fun or useful that will make them want to sign up.

If nothing else, be sure to set up an opt-in page where readers can sign up to notified of future book releases.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is email list building?

An email list is a way for you to collect email addresses from potential customers by using different campaigns for email address collection. The email list building is what is done as those email addresses are collected into one list that has been created about a specific niche or topic.

Email lists vary in size as potential customers subscribe to the list, and provide the email address you are trying to collect. This list can grow or decrease as people sign up or leave your list. Building your email list is an ongoing process that will be done for the length of your business ventures.

How do you start an email list?

Starting an email list is not as difficult as it may seem. The first step in creating an email list is to find the right email list software. There are many different email list software or autoresponders that can be chosen to create and build your email list.

A few of the most popular and easy to use email list software options include:

Constant contact
ConvertKit
Aweber
GetResponse
Mailchimp

These are just a few of the popular options available. It is up to you to do your homework, and research each one of these, along with others you find on your search, to help you find the right one for your email list building needs.

Once you have decided on the right software or platform to use for your email list, the next step is to create your list building campaign. Each platform will be a bit different, so there will be a small learning curve to figure out how to use what you have chosen.

After you are educated on the software or platform, creating the email campaign is easy to do. It will mean creating different emails about your blog topic that can be sent out to your list subscribers over a period of time. There will be different emails scheduled to go out on different dates, to keep your email subscribers interested in what you are offering them.

It’s as simple as following these two steps to get your email list started within a short amount of time.

How can I make my email list faster?

When creating an email list for your business, growing that list quickly is what all business owners want to achieve. There are multiple methods that can be used to help with growing your email list faster.

Some of the easiest and most effective methods used to achieve this goal include:

1. Create and use multiple sign up forms – On your website or blog, create and use multiple sign up forms, so that everyone that visits will have the chance to opt-in to your list from multiple places. Create a form that is put on the side of your site, and on the bottom of your site.

2. Use an exit pop-up – Create an exit pop-up for your site that people will see before they leave your site. This will give them a chance to opt in before they actually leave.

3. Create giveaway and contests – People love to win free items, and many of them will be willing to provide their email address to you for the chance to win. This is an easy and effective way for making your list faster.

These are just a few of the many ideas that can be found online for building your list faster. Take some time to get creative, and have fun with building your list. That will make it more enjoyable for you, and for the potential customers that subscribe.

Content for An Autoresponder Campaign

An Autoresponder Campaign is a Email Campaign

Content for an Autoresponder Campaign: For as long as I can remember I have seen successful Internet marketers talking about how important it is to build a list.

Create a list as in an email list of people who are interested in what you sell if you are looking at it from a marketing standpoint, which I am with my helpful blog posts to you.

To do that you should be using an autoresponder.

It’s a place to store your contact’s name and email address as well to send out content to them via email

One successful strategy is to set up an autoresponder campaign.

An autoresponder campaign is an email campaign in which newsletters and other promotional information are emailed to others who are subscribers to your email list.

Autoresponder campaigns are an excellent marketing strategy for bloggers, social media managers, non-profit organizations, and government agencies as well as schools.

You can schedule the exact dates and times you can send out the messages to subscribers.

One problem I have seen Internet marketers have is how to populate the campaign with content.

Here are some neat ideas for email list content.

One way to keep your subscribers interested in your emails is to include breaking news that relates to your business or the industry in which your business is involved.

For example, if you own an upscale hair and nail salon, you can tell subscribers about some new locations that you will open in the next few weeks.

You can also include some online coupons for them to use when shopping at the new locations. Maybe you have hired a new employee and you want to announce that.

You get the idea!

Autoresponder Campaign: Seasonal Newsletters

Your subscribers often enjoy seasonal newsletters.

If it’s Mother’s Day, you can send out some inspirational poems and blog posts from your staff members on what the actual meaning of motherhood is all about.

If it’s Christmas you can send out eCards to wish them the best during the holiday season.

Every month we are celebrating something, so you will never run out of content ideas to email!

Limited Edition Sales

No other way to reach out to subscribers is to offer discounts on limited edition items.

Boost revenue, especially if the limited-edition items are rare and may not be available in most stores.

For example, dark chocolate cherry scented candles would probably sell out quickly as a limited-edition product.

As an Internet marketer, you may want to resell products such as reports or eBooks and offer them at a discounted price to your email list.

Buyers’ Guides

Our subscribers often must make major purchases for the household, and they are not always sure which brands or models of individual products to get.

If you send out buyers’ guides, you assist them in becoming informed customers.

You have an appliance store, mail out a buyers’ guide to stainless steel appliances.

If you own a furniture store, you can mail out a buyers’ guide to kitchen cabinets.

One way to do that, if you do not have the buyer’s guide uploaded online, is to make a blog post and include the buyer’s guide as tips in the post.

Email your list with a link back to that post.

It’s an excellent way to drive traffic to your blog, and you can include it in your autoresponder campaign to keep sending traffic over and over as new people opt into your list.

Webinar Invitations

Autoresponder Campaign Non-Profits

For nonprofit organizations with a focus on social services, webinar invitations are great to offer your subscribers.

These have become very popular online today and can be archived for people to listen to in the future.

In a nonprofit situation, some ideas for webinars include your rights as a Section 8 tenant, fathers’ rights in child support cases, ways for single mothers to build home-based businesses, and tips for first-time homebuyers with FHA loans.

Beautiful Images

No one likes to read a boring email newsletter or email, therefore you should include beautiful images to accompany your content.

If you’re sending an email newsletter about the benefits of gardening with kids, use original pictures that show children laughing and playing with adults in the garden.

You should always include your logo at the top of each newsletter or email. Gets your readers used to hearing from you and serves as a great branding tool for your online business.

Freebies

Offering freebies is an excellent way to keep your subscribers happy and loyal to your company.

that are practical for them yet still appealing to their senses.

You might offer free burp cloths or samples of handmade cloth diapers if you write a blog about new moms. With these ideas, your email list will grow gradually.

Let me stress giving something of value. The Internet is full of old outdated information that has been passed around over and over and is outdated.

If your freebie is digital in nature, think about creating something new just for your list. You may even want to hire a freelance writer to create something for you!

Email LIST Content Summarized Autoresponder Campaign

Do not cut corners and use a free autoresponder. Pay the money for a high-quality one such as Aweber or Get Response.

Set up an autoresponder campaign and use it as a marketing tool for your Internet business.

Fill it with high-quality content that is well-written and serves to drive traffic back to your website or blog.

Take time to update it as needed.

Send out an email newsletter if you want. Stay current in the fast-changing climate of email marketing.

Use the tips in this article as content ideas. Become an Internet spy and subscribe to the email lists of your competitors.

It’s a great way to come up with new ideas you can use for your email autoresponder campaign as well.

Autoresponder Campaign

Autoresponder Campaign Frequently Asked Questions

How do you write an autoresponder in an email?

Below are some quick steps to guide you on how to write an autoresponder in an email;

Decide on how many auto-responder emails you want to send out – be careful not to post many autoresponder messages in a single day.

This may discourage the people you are sending the emails to and may even bore them.

Also, make sure that you do not send a few emails too.

Most people usually write a welcome message only and never follow up.

You will have a competitive advantage over your competitors if you send multiple messages in your email series.

Decide on the intervals on which the emails will be sent -timing is crucial when sending an autoresponder in an email.

If the interval is too short, it might be nagging, and if the range is too long, people might no longer be interested when you send the messages.

It is good to find the balance, but it also depends on the goal of the sequence.

Take your time to write the entire series – even though it is advisable to add your personality while writing the messages, do not overdo it by sharing what is not necessary.

Queue the messages up – once you are done writing the emails, you can line them up in your email service provider waiting to be sent.

For this, you might require an email marketing solution.

Try out the series – for you to know if everything is working correctly, you need to test the series.

What makes an Effective Email Sequence?

A welcoming cold email – a cold email is an email that is sent to potential customers.

It is vital to keep it short, and it should also grab the attention of the subscriber.

It should also be friendly and tell them why they should believe and trust you.

A firm but gentle reminder – this should be sent out at least 3-4 days after the first email was sent.

The recipient might be busy or might be in a bad mood to not answer the first message. So it is important to remind them politely.

You should, however, not repeat yourself. You can enquire if they saw your last email.

Break-up email – prospects may no longer be interested in your services or goods anymore, and you might want to know why.

Most people will want to give you feedback. You could ask them what made them change their mind.

You will be amazed by the amount of feedback you will get.

What are the ten steps to starting email marketing?

Select an email marketing service provider – choosing the best provider will enable you to send messages to many people at the same time.

You can also choose from a range of available templates.

Plan the content that you want to create – you also need to know how often you want to be sending your emails.

Write a welcome email – this can be used to assure the subscribers that their subscription was successful.

Take time to write the subject lines – the prospects see the line even before reading the mail, so it is essential to make it catchy and interesting.

Test it before sending – this can save you a lot of embarrassment because once an email is sent, you cannot delete it

Review – after going through analytics, you might find your weakness and strengths.
Merge your website with your list – this is one of the ways to engage with you.

State your objectives– you need to know why you are writing the emails.

Send the email – timing is very crucial

Track the results – this might help you to know who responded and who did not. This can also be useful to help you to improve.

Leverage Your Existing Subscribers

Expand your Reach by Leveraging Existing Subscribers

Leverage Existing Subscribers: It’s all on the list, and much of your daily and weekly efforts when working online are spent growing that list.

There are different ways to do this, but I want to share something quick and easy for you that works well today.

And that’s to leverage existing subscribers and get them to build your list for you.

Ways to Leverage Existing Subscribers

Yes, you read that right. We will have our current subscribers recommend us to their circle of influence and expand our reach exponentially.

The best part is that it’s easy and something you can regularly do.

Leverage Existing Subscribers: The most important thing for this to work is having a good relationship with your readers.

Make sure you serve them well and treat them right.

Provide the content they are looking for and the content and tools they need (those aren’t always the same), and help your readers reach their goals.

It builds trust, and it won’t take long for your readers to become raving fans.

Leverage Subscribers and Grow your Email List

Leverage Existing Subscribers: That’s when it’s time to start leveraging who they know.

No matter what niche, Blog Niche, or Topic you’re in and who your target market is, the chances are good that your readers and subscribers know others who are interested in the same topics.

Since everyone uses social media, they can quickly spread the word for you. All you have to do is ask. I’m serious… that’s all it takes.

Occasionally, encourage your readers to share this email with others who may benefit from it or ask them to send potential subscribers to your Blog or opt-in page to sign up.

If you encourage your readers to forward your email to someone else who may be interested in the content, make sure you also mention how new readers can subscribe.

That is not bad to have in there anyway because people occasionally forward your messages without prompting.

Expand Your Reach by Leverage Your Existing Email

You’ll get much better results by asking them to share. Try a few different approaches.

Forwarding this email, which we already talked about, is one option.

Another is to ask them to recommend you to friends and have them send prospects to your opt-in page.

Finally, put part of your previous email, a tip, or any other helpful advice into a Facebook post and a link to your opt-in page.

How do you Reach More Customers?

It is easier to gain more customers by encouraging your present customers to give their online reviews regarding the particular product or service.

When you expand your number of customer reviews, making an excellent first impression on possible customers becomes more accessible.

Ensure the reviews come mainly from those devoted clients, your repeat customers.

Such individuals always comment best to attract more buyers and shoppers.

Furthermore, encourage the use of surveys with your present customers.

For instance, you may use surveys to discover how they learned about the business.

With the information, you get to understand better their behavior patterns.

Later you can analyze the Feedback and use the best channel that most customers reported having used in discovering the business to attract more potential customers.

How do I get more Customers on Facebook?

You can quickly form an online contest on your Facebook page or the businesses’ page, where individuals can easily participate. People love participating in fun activities.

You’ll then encourage the present participants, your Facebook friends, to share their photos while doing something interesting about the business.

In this case, there will be increased attention and eagerness by others to follow swiftly and participate.

How can Social Media Engage Customers?

To connect customers on social media successfully, engagement is the correct key. Always utilize the media platform as an open party.

How people engage with you on Social Media is critical to evaluate the success of your social media strategies and tactics in attaining goals such as creating leads that will transform into sales.

You welcome people in and then encourage dialogues between the participants.

The best approach to using social media is not to explode your content. Instead, use the various platforms to engage customers openly and sincerely.

That way, you can leverage any Social Media platform to boost leads for customer support and increase brand awareness.

Examples of Social Media platforms include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

You will realize the engagements through possible client actions such as comments, shares, likes, click-throughs, re-tweets, follows, and other visible steps.

Promoting Your Autoresponder

Learning How to Promote Your Autoresponder

Promoting your autoresponder is essential! So, you’ve put together a great autoresponder series or are starting up a broadcast newsletter. However, how do you get people on your list?

Promotional Goodies for Your Autoresponder – The Freebie

Giving away something free in return for a subscription is nothing new, but we still do it because it still works.

Your freebie is an enticement and showcases you as a value provider; mixing it with conversion strategies also builds your customer list.

You might give away:

The giveaway must be enticing enough for someone to give you at least their email address. It could be…

• Free report – A short, enticing description that will solve a problem.
• Ecourse – Create a series of messages on a specific topic.
• Software – Hire a developer to make simple but helpful software for your market.
• A Practical Tool – a handy spreadsheet, worksheet, or pattern.
• Audio – A recording or live teleseminar invitation.
• Video – Whether it’s instructional, informative, or entertaining, it doesn’t matter.

Of course, having a great freebie for your autoresponder is fine and dandy – you still must sell it.

How to Sell Your Autoresponder

Think of your freebie and autoresponder as a product. Even though it’s free, you must sell it and make your visitor want to leave their name and email address.

Plus, you’ve got to make it enticing; they’ll want to open the emails you’ll start sending to them.

To get started selling, make use of these selling tools.

• Opt-in box on every page: Include a quick attention-getting headline, a compelling reason to subscribe, and the signup box.

Don’t force your readers to click around to find the signup.

Make it easy for them to find on every single page.

• Opt-in page: Create a page showing the benefits of signing up. It is where you’ll send traffic from your advertising articles.

• Picture of your freebie: Make a report cover and software box. A graphical representation can make your offer more tangible and attractive to your reader.

What to Include on Your Opt-In Page?

An attention-getting, benefit-driven headline. Get to the heart of the manner. If your readers have pain or desire – show them how your offer can help them.

Compelling description and benefits of your freebie AND being on your mailing list.

You can focus solely on promoting your freebie, but if they see the benefits of the subscription, they will be more likely to open the emails you send them.

Graph your freebie and newsletter.

It will help draw the eye to your offer, and sharp graphics increase your perceived value.

Full instructions on how to sign up.

Spell it out for them so there’s no confusion, and let’s face it, when you guide people on what they should do, they are more likely to do it.

Tell them: “Enter your first name and email address, then click ‘Sign me Up’”

Spam statement: People are concerned about spam and may hesitate to give out their email addresses.

Include a brief comment about what you do/don’t do with your readers’ personal information.

Now, You’re Ready to Promote

Now that everything is in place, it’s time to promote your autoresponder.

One key to getting the best conversions on signup is to send people to your opt-in page.

It is a page solely based on understanding the subscription and will serve you best every time.

A visitor to your site is just a visitor, but if you can turn them into subscribers… you are then more likely to turn them into a customer.

The good news is, even though you still must sell your freebie/autoresponder, it’s still an easier sell than a product!

Include links to your opt-in page in the following places.

• Your bylines – Promote your freebie in your articles, blog posts, and guest blog posts.
• Navigation – Add a link to your website navigation that says “Free Action Guide” or whatever fits your special freebie.
• Videos – tell your viewers where to sign up and include a watermark on your video with the link.
• Signature – Whether it’s email or a forum, tell people about your freebie.
• Co-promotion – Share other people’s freebies in return for them promoting yours.
• Be a podcast guest – Look for on-target and popular podcasts and share your opt-in page in your interview.
• Write a press release – A valuable freebie is undoubtedly newsworthy. Write a statement and distribute it.

The key is persistence because as you build more and more links to your opt-in page, you’ll continue to grow regularly.

Don’t think a few articles and a guest spot on a little podcast will do it. Your list is your bread and butter… focus.

 Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ Promoting Your Autoresponder

What is an autoresponder email?

This is an automatic response to an email sent to you.

To use this type of email, you sign up at a service and set up what kind of message you want to be sent to the person trying to contact you on your behalf.

An example of some simple autoresponder email is ‘I am on vacation until the 24th, please contact _____ ______ at _____________if you need immediate attention.

These emails are set up for you and sent out once you activate the service.

You can send out various autoresponder emails depending on what you are doing.

A good one is when someone joins your mailing list, and you send a thank you note to them.

This service saves you a lot of time, freeing you up for other essential tasks that need your attention.

Is MailChimp an autoresponder?

Yes, it is. In fact, it is one of the more popular email autoresponder services available today.

What MailChimp does for you is allow you to set up complicated email campaigns and then send them out once you activate the service.

It has a variety of program options you can choose from to make sure you are getting the type of service you want to use.

If you are selling a product and someone walks away from their cart, you can have an autoresponder email addressing that situation.

Their system has a lot of flexibility, allowing you to set several autoresponder emails up for different situations and run them all simultaneously.

How do I use Autoresponder in email?

Each service may differ in how you use your autoresponder, but the basics are all the same.

The first thing you do is open your account.

Second, place the word autoreply on your subject line so people do not get confused when they see your response to their email.

Third, you must also type in the reason for the automatic reply. For example, ‘on vacation till ____’ Fourth, you write the body of the email giving the instructions you want the person to follow

Then activate the email.

How do I set up an automatic email response?

Here is the setup for Gmail. First, you go into your account and head toward the upper right-hand corner of the email page.

Click on the word settings and then look for the word advanced and click on that.

Once that page appears, look for the words canned response and click on that.

When the new message box appears, write your new message and give it a title. After that is done, click save, and your message should be ready to go.

Other systems are just as easy and almost identical to the Gmail way of doing things.

Just remember to turn the autoresponder function on before you exit your account.

When that is done, you do not have to worry about a thing.
