If you have dreamed of starting your own business, I will encourage you to look closely at becoming an Internet entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who starts a business understanding that they are taking on a risk.


I have always liked being an Internet entrepreneur because you minimize risk in many ways.

The biggest is financial because you can save money in various ways that a brick-and-mortar or offline business can not.


It rocks to be an Internet entrepreneur, and I can give you at least ten reasons I feel that way.

1. Opportunities

There certainly is no shortage in the number of possibilities available for somebody who wants to become an entrepreneur on the Internet today. You can start by looking at various business models.

One of the most popular ways that people start their own business on the Internet today is to become an affiliate marketer.

You can join affiliate programs for free and get paid in various ways, including pay-per-click programs, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-sale affiliate programs.

Other business models you can use to become an Internet entrepreneur include eCommerce, email marketing, network marketing, getting paid for programs, direct sales, and much more.

2. Start-Up Cost – Internet Entrepreneur

When you compare starting your own business offline, the startup cost for an Internet business is virtually nothing.

You can become an Internet entrepreneur for little or no money out of your pocket.

I mentioned that you could become an affiliate marketer and join affiliate programs for free.

You could start your blog and use a free blogging platform such as, which doesn’t cost anything.

You could join a network marketing company for under $100. Today big-ticket programs are accessible online.

You can expect to spend anywhere from $2K to $22,000 to start a digital franchise with programs such as Azon, franchise gator, and FranConnect.

It rocks to become an Intranet entrepreneur because you have these options available to you.

3. Open 24 Hours

Internet business is open for business 24 hours a day. Try doing that with the brick-and-mortar store!

People can access your online business from anywhere in the world regardless of what time zone you.

That doesn’t mean that you’re actively working in your business because you can make sales and handle product fulfillment 100% online when set up correctly.

4. Own Your Time

Time freedom is one of the primary reasons people start an Internet business. You can work when you want based on what’s going on in your life.

There is no such thing as an 8 to 5 schedule with an Internet business.

You know what you must do to be profitable and how much time you need to spend doing it. Many people love that feature about having their own online business.

5. No Income Ceiling

One of the problems that many people face with their job is they have more months than they have money.

That’s not going to be a problem when your Internet business grows because you have no ceiling on your income.

If you want to earn more, you just sell more or do more of whatever Internet activity you do to make money. Often you can do this without even working more hours to earn more money!

6. Save On Overhead

A brick-and-mortar business can be expensive. You have to pay for office space, warehouse space, hire employees, pay for insurance, office supplies and equipment, and on and on we can go.

When you have your own Internet business, you can work anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection.

Many people set up a home office and work out of a spare bedroom or somewhere in a room, they call their place of business.

That doesn’t take any additional money on your part, which is a significant saving on overhead.

7. World Wide Web

Are you familiar with the term niche marketing? Here, you take a broad niche and narrow it down to a micro niche.

That doesn’t mean you’re limiting your potential marketplace for only running a local business.

You can start an Internet business in any niche and sell to customers worldwide.

That means you potentially have millions of people who can buy your products.

8. Freedom

I mentioned that you control your schedule when you’re an Internet entrepreneur. Another thing that rocks about having an Internet business is the ability to take as much time off as you want when your business is supporting itself.

Some people walk away from their activities, which continues to pay them long after they work on them.

That is a residual income, and the freedom to come and go as you please is a big selling point to people looking to build an Internet business long-term.

9. Multiple Income Streams

The business you start today may not be your only income stream in the future. I’ve seen people start as affiliate marketers and branch into e-commerce selling on Amazon with a Fulfillment By Amazon business.

I’ve seen people build email lists in multiple niches, from cooking and dieting to health and computer-based products.

Based on how hard you want to work and your desire to develop multiple income streams!

10. It Is Fun!

The last reason I’m listing here in this article is it rocks to be an Internet marketer because it’s fun.

The last nine goals are all extremely beneficial to you, but nothing beats waking up in the morning and working for yourself online!


  • Let me conclude that Internet entrepreneurs are scared, but do not let that happen to you. Even doing just a few of these basics can help your blogging experience.

    These are ten reasons it rocks to be an Internet entrepreneur. You may even be able to come up with ideas of your own!
