Grammarly Review: We weren’t all born to be writers, and the truth is not even writers catch all their grammatical errors. However actual these facts may be, it doesn’t excuse us from submitting edited work to be grammatically correct.

While most people don’t know where to even begin to edit their work, some take full advantage of automatic grammar checks. One famous grammar checker is Grammarly.

It seems funny to use a service that is not grammatically correct. However, that appears to be the case for many games online such as Google, Twitter, Amazon, and so on.

Grammarly is a memorable name, but is it an excellent product for your website and blog? This review should give you an idea of whether you could or should use Grammarly to check your work or not.

Grammarly Usability

Grammarly offers a few options on how you can use its proofreading tools. If you use Microsoft Office, you can directly use Grammarly on it.

If you’re looking to use Grammarly online, you can have it installed as an online dashboard, or you can install a plugin specifically for Google Chrome. You can write directly on Grammarly’s panel or cut and paste from whichever writing software you use.

Does Grammarly work?

Grammarly works on two levels: it identifies your grammatical errors, and it also gives you an explanation for each mistake. It provides suggestions as far as potential solutions in replacement of your mistakes.

Compared to basic grammar checkers such as the built-in Word check, Grammarly is far more in-depth in its analysis and will also provide you with more help.

Since it gives you so much detail about what you do wrong, the more you use Grammarly, the easier you can identify patterns in your writing. Eventually, you’ll learn what mistakes you keep on repeating. It ultimately helps you improve your writing overall.

Another tool Grammarly offers is the specification of different document types. You can specify whether a document you checking is an article, a business document, a blog post, or any other.

However, the proofreading differences between each document type are not too substantial. You can also use Grammarly’s plagiarism checker to ensure you aren’t writing anything you’re not supposed to.

Grammarly Review – Is it worth getting Grammarly?

Whether you should sign up for Grammarly will depend on a couple of things. Grammarly is not free and works on a subscription basis. It costs $29.00 per month to try monthly.

Quarterly and annual subscriptions are available as well. You’d have to figure out how much writing you do to see if the monthly price is worth it.

It might not be worth the price if you’re only writing one or two lengthy documents a month. If you regularly have something that you should check, Grammarly can probably reduce your editing time remarkably.

Since Grammarly can help you improve your writing in general, you can see it as an investment of some sort, especially if any writing is going to be a part of your future—for your career, education, or personal use. You have to remember, though, that even a detailed grammar checker such as Grammarly can never be a replacement for a human proofreader or editor.

If you have a big writing project that you just want to check, it might be wiser to go with a person rather than software. You can find people to check your writing at sites such as Fiverr and Upwork.

Another Viewpoint on Grammar and Editing

Much of the content on websites today comes in the form of blogging. I’ve always believed that people should write as they talk.

I’ve seen too many people not even start a blog because they don’t think they are good writers or are afraid of having poor grammar or improper spelling. A service such as Grammarly can pay for itself if blogging is enough and you’re not outsourcing much of your writing.

At the very least, when you outsource something, it’s being run through a service such as Copyscape, so you can be confident that the content is unique and not duplicated. However, you cannot always be sure that the writer will use proper grammar.

You may even be afraid that your grammar will not always be correct. You should still go ahead and write to your heart’s delight, but use a program such as Grammarly to do some of your editings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Grammarly safe and legit?

Yes, Grammarly is legitimate, and it is safe to use. This is a company that is legit and reputable. Millions of people use this site to help improve their writing skills. Everything you write will be checked for grammatical errors and typos. So, everything you write will look more professional, and your writing skills will improve with everything you write.

What’s the catch with Grammarly?

The catch with Grammarly is simple and straightforward. You can choose to use three different versions of this software to help you with your writing skills. The first option is a free version. With this version, you will get basic writing corrections on everything you write. The free version is perfect for anyone that needs help with writing but doesn’t do a lot of writing.

Then there is the premium option; with this version, you get much more feedback on your writing skills. This version includes a spell checker, a plagiarism detector, and suggestions to enhance your vocabulary. This option has a monthly fee and is for people that write all the time.

The third option is a business version. With this version, you get everything included in the premium version, but you can have many more people using this to help with writing. You can have 3 to 149 people using this to help them improve their writing skills. This is the perfect option for employees who do a lot of writing daily.

The option you choose will be determined by the amount of writing you do. The free version will be the best option for anyone who doesn’t do a lot of writing and only needs help occasionally. Anyone who does quite a bit of writing every week must opt for the premium if it is only you who need this software.

What is an excellent Grammarly score?

A Grammarly performance score will tell you how accurate your work is compared to other work written by others with the same writing goals. A good score to aim for is 60 or higher. This means that the higher your score, the more accurate your document is compared to other writings with the same goals.

Can Grammarly steal your work?

Grammarly has in their terms of service that your content will be stored on one of their servers so that technical help can be provided for you when you write. This doesn’t mean that they are stealing your work, but the software has to have access to your work to provide help to you.

After 14 days, your writing work will be taken off the server to make room for other people’s work. You need to read the terms of service that Grammarly offers and take the time to contact them with any concerns about this, but there isn’t any indication that they will steal your work. A lot of people find it safe to use this software without problems.

I hope the information I’ve provided might serve as a good place for you to start when blogging.
